This season has been filled with blessings! I am so grateful to have more opportunities this fall to serve the King of Kings! During the month of September, I’ve had three Sundays to fill in for Pastor Jacob Berry of Heritage Baptist Church in Waterville, ME. God’s been working in the hearts and lives of those who have been reached and attending! It’s always fun to preach and teach believers who are receptive to God’s Word!
Continue please to pray for Pastor Berry and the church. I’ve been with the pastor to make new contacts and follow-up visits. God is working, and we will keep planting and watering the gospel seed.
I attended the men’s retreat at Curtis Corner Baptist in Wakefield in mid-September. Evangelist John Barnes challenged us. Pastor Chapman reminded us that we need to see the man God wants us to be and trust Him to make us that man by His grace. We enjoyed activities, fellowship, food, campfire, and stunning shore scenery. It was also great to have three of the men from Heritage Baptist in Waterville, ME, attend.
I filled in for New Life Baptist Church in Jay, ME, on the last Sunday in September. This church needs a pastor. Please pray for this small work! On the first Sunday in October, I filled in for Pastor Keith Hilton at South Gardiner Baptist Church in South Gardiner, ME. There was a good response to the preaching morning and evening.

The second Sunday, I went down to West Haven, CT, to conduct a bilingual service for Pastor Dale Schwarz. Spanish people are attending and are bilingual. There’s a potential for the church to reach more with the gospel. I hope to do what I can to help Pastor Schwarz reach more in the near future. I left Spanish songbooks and New Testaments for the pastor to use. My ministry helps facilitate by having special outreaches, meetings, and printed resources in Spanish.
Pastor Paul Chapman asked me to lead the singing for the Save New England Conference in mid-October. Again, being at the fall conference for two days was a blessing. Pastor Jerry Ross was the featured speaker, and although he was not feeling well, he preached on both nights. Pastor David Carlson of Gospel Baptist Church in Manchester, NH, preached and reminded us that God uses “regular people.” Make plans now, pastors, to attend our spring conference at Granite State Baptist in Concord, NH, on April 28-29.
On October 26, I was asked to lead the singing and provide special music for the First Baptist Church of Jackman, ME, for their exciting “open house.” God miraculously provided a church building with all the furnishings for Pastor Dave Bowman and the church family! The story of God providing for this is incredible, all paid for. I was glad to be at this unique service, Evangelist Dave Garnett was the speaker, and afterwards, there was food and fellowship.
Last Sunday, I filled in again for Pastor Keith Hilton, pastor of South Gardiner Baptist Church in South Gardiner, ME. He has been recovering from surgery for colon cancer. The prayer is that the surgery will be successful and he will be completely healed. Please pray for this faithful pastor!
I have filled in a couple of times this fall and winter at my home church, Gospel Light Baptist Church in New Vineyard, ME, in the midweek services. We are still praying about God’s will concerning a new pastor. Please pray with us about this need. I will be filling in on several mid-week services on Thursday nights and leading the congregational singing when I’m home on Sundays.
I have spent the winter months helping at the churches near my home in Maine and filling in pulpits as needed.
I believe that God has given our nation a “reprieve” in the last election but not a revival. I believe that will only happen with God’s people. We know II Chronicles 7:14 well, now let’s press our spiritual “reset buttons” and, by God’s grace, do “so much the more” while we can to reach our “Jerusalems” with the gospel. If I can be of help to you, pastor, don’t hesitate to contact me. Our ministry is to “partner” with you on any ministry level that would be helpful to you.
