Since my last update, several opportunities to serve local churches in the ministry of evangelism have come my way this year so far! I still am amazed and humbled that God would give me the privilege and blessing to be in the service of the King of kings!
I filled in for Pastor Paul Chapman at Curtis Corner Baptist in Wakefield, RI, on Sunday, January 12th, for the entire day. In my home church, Gospel Light Baptist Church, while we were waiting for the pastor God was going to give us, I filled in for two mid-week services. I continued to help Pastor Jacob Berry at the new church plant in Waterville, Maine, where I helped with leading the singing and making contacts. The last Sunday in February, I filled in for Pastor Eric Ness at Center Conway Baptist in New Hampshire. It was a good day with a good response to the preaching. I provided special music for Pastor Chris Droullard at the Victory Baptist Church in Winthrop, ME, for the two-day meeting with Bro. Jeff Fugate in the last week of February.

In March, I attended the Northeast Church Planting Conference directed by Evangelist Tom Faulk. We were challenged to about the need to plant churches and given the opportunity to support the financial needs of those who had presented their call to plant a church in a needy city or town, or were currently involved in the planting process. Towards the end of the month, I was with Pastor Paul Chapman representing the ministry of Save New England at the Servant’s Conference in Hammond, IN. I heard challenging messages in the English and Spanish sessions throughout the week.
In April, I had the opportunity to be in the Missions Conference at Loomis Park Baptist Church in Jackson, MI, where Rich Zawadski is the pastor. I presented the ministry of Save New England there, and then I drove up to Lewiston, MI, to present the ministry at First Baptist Church, where Tony Petronico is the pastor. I also taught in the Sunday School hour and preached in the morning service.
On May 4th, I preached at Harvest Baptist Church in Derby Line, VT. Pastor Leo McElroy had asked me to come and preach on a Sunday morning, where I taught Sunday School and preached in the morning service. On that Sunday evening, I drove down to Barton Baptist Church, where I preached in the evening service and had a chance to get caught up with Pastor Ralph Fryman, whom I hadn’t seen in quite a while. It’s always good to see churches in northern New England still going on for Christ, attempting to shine the light of the Gospel! I filled in at Heritage Baptist in Waterville, ME, for two midweek services and a Sunday during May, then ended that month filling in for Pastor David Peterman at Open Bible Baptist Church in Ascutney, VT.
On June 13th, I filled in at Bow Baptist Church in Weathersfield Bow, VT, for their midweek service. We are praying for Pastor Daniel Anderson, who has been hospitalized for quite some time. Evangelist Tom Faulk is currently the interim pastor.

It’s been a busy summer of ministry! I left for Virginia on June 14th to preach all day on Sunday, June 15th. I accompanied Pastor Brent Hockema to make some contacts with the Spanish people who live near the church to plant the seed of the Gospel on that Sunday afternoon. The following Monday, I left for Hagerstown, Maryland, where I was involved in helping at a VBS outreach using my Civil War impression each night to teach the kids the importance of the Bible. We contacted parents during the week to invite them to bring their kids to VBS. The last night of VBS, I had the opportunity to preach a clear gospel message, and there were first-time parents and children there. The following week, I traveled to Gettysburg, PA, to be a part of an outdoor revival and evangelistic tent meeting! I had the privilege of preaching twice during the week, accompanying Pastor David Mitchell on door-to-door soul winning, and sharing the message of salvation with several individuals, while also providing special music. In July, the Lord brought me a couple more opportunities to be in two churches, at Bow Baptist Church in Weathersfield, VT, and Grace Baptist Church in Portland, ME. It was a blessing to “team up” with Evangelist Tom Faulk and help with congregational song leading and preach at Bow Baptist Church on Sunday, July 13th. Then, I filled in for Pastor Gary Ouellette in South Portland, ME, for the morning service. We enjoyed a good response to the preaching and an opportunity to encourage a new believer to follow the Lord in believer’s baptism.
I was honored to assist the Curtis Corner Baptist Church in Wakefield, RI, with their annual soul-winning booth at the Washington County Fair. The booth was staffed from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm from Wednesday, August 13th, through Sunday, August 17th. We managed to pass out thousands of tracts and engage in scores of productive conversations. God allowed us to witness dozens of precious souls make professions of faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour.
Let me encourage you to “work for the night is coming when no man can work” to reach our towns, cities, and regions for Christ! Be proactive in getting out the Gospel in your local church! As always, pastor, if I can be of help to you, I would love the opportunity to “partner” with you on any ministry level to help you reach your area for Christ! Feel free to contact me.
