Greetings! In recent months, the Lord has brought more ministry opportunities in evangelism!
March started with my attendance, along with our founder, Pastor Paul Chapman, at the Northeast Church Planting Conference led by Evangelist Tom Faulk in Groton, MA. What a blessing to see what God is doing and be able to have a part in helping financially those who God calls to come to New England to plant new churches! | I had a couple of Sundays at my home church and continued to help lead the congregational singing. Later in March, Pastor Paul Chapman and I attended the Servant’s Conference held at the First Baptist Church in Hammond, IN. We represented the “Save New England” ministry during the conference. I attended most of the Spanish portion of the conference. I shared our ministry with the Spanish brethren and sang a special during one of the evening services. We pray that God will send Spanish-speaking preachers to help us reach the lost in New England.
I filled in for Pastor Jacob Berry on the first Sunday in April at Heritage Baptist in Waterville, ME. This congregation is a new church plant where I have had the opportunity to help with evangelistic outreaches and lead the congregational singing on Sunday nights. God continues to bless this new work as we spread the Gospel to this needy city.
On the second Sunday in April, I gave an update to one of my supporting churches, Landmark Baptist Church in Loudon, NH, and preached. The following day, we began our spring “Save New England” conference hosted by Pastor Peter Chamberland and the Granite State Baptist Church in Concord, NH. It was a great time to be encouraged, challenged, and blessed by the preaching, singing, special music, meals, question and answer time, and fellowship. On the last Sunday in April, I filled in for Pastor Gary Ouelette of Grace Baptist Church in Portland, ME. This visit was my first time preaching at this church. We enjoyed a good response to God’s Word, a time of fellowship, and a meal afterward.
May started with a visit with Pastor Dave Peterman of Open Bible Baptist Church in Ascutney, VT. I appreciate Pastor Peterman’s faithfulness in this country church! I desired to have a time of fellowship with him. I was asked to preach and was glad to do so. A week and a half later, I filled in for Pastor Jared Dunbar of Tabernacle in Peabody, MA, for a Wednesday night Bible study. I was blessed by a receptive, faithful group that was there.On Sunday, May 19th,I filled in for Pastor Eric Ness of Center Conway Baptist of Center Conway, NH. It was a good day as I preached in the morning and evening services and led the congregational singing. I appreciated a good response, fellowship, and being taken out for a meal.
Pastor Jacob Berry of the new church plant, Heritage Baptist in Waterville, ME, hosted the Maine Baptist Fellowship meeting for the first time. I had the privilege of preaching along with Pastor Chris Droullard. It was a blessing to be encouraged by attending with other men of God and be challenged to stay faithful. Last Sunday, I was once again filling in at Grace Baptist Church in Portland, ME. We thank God for another great Sunday there with an excellent reception to the Word as I taught Sunday School and preached in the morning service.
I’m looking forward to the summer doing the work of an evangelist and representing “Save New England” in churches and conferences.
We pray that God will use our ministry to promote revival, soul winning, and church planting in New England and around the country.
God has reminded me of the Apostle Paul’s admonition in Philippians to “keep pressing towards the mark!” In the book of Hebrews, we are exhorted to do “so much the more as ye see the
day approaching!” The hope of New England and the rest of the country is to do and keep doing more of what we already know – to preach Christ and make disciples. Everyone in our area of ministry deserves to have a chance to hear the Gospel at least once! Let’s stay after it! If I can be a help to you in the summer, please let us know!
