Boston is the largest city in Massachusetts. In fact, it is the most populous city in the five states that make up New England. It is the economic and cultural anchor of the metropolitan area known as Greater Boston.
This metropolitan statistical area (MSA) is home to an estimated 4.8 million people ranking as the tenth largest MSA in the country.
Boston is one of the oldest cities in America, founded in 1630 by Puritan settlers. It has a storied history including the Boston Massacre, the Boston Tea Party, Battle of Bunker Hill, and Paul Revere’s ride. Famous landmarks such as Faneuil Hall, Boston Common, and the Freedom Trail attract tens of millions of visitors each year.
The Boston area is home to dozens of influential colleges including Boston College, Harvard, and MIT. The town is bustling with large corporations and countless small businesses.

Spiritually, Boston is a dark place. With a mix of Irish Catholocism, dead denominationalism, and fierce atheism, the city desparately needs a soul- winning church to spread the Truth of Christ.
There is one small Independent Baptist Church in the city limits of Boston. We need many more. Additionally, there are dozens of cities within the 95 Expressway loop around Boston with no soul- winning churches. We could start 50 Churches in the Greater Boston area and only scratch the surface. But it all begins with one!
We are praying for God to send a man with a holy calling to reach Boston with the Gospel. Churches working with Save New England will support a new church financially and practically.
