Portland is the most populous city in Maine. The Greater Portland metropolitan area is home to over half a million people, more than one-third of Maine’s total population.

Portland is the the economic center of the state. It is an old and beautiful city that has seen a resurgence in recent years. It is a town bustling with life, shopping, tourism, and work. The city lies on the Atlantic coast with beautiful ocean views, a large port, and breathtaking coastal living. Portland International Jetport (PWM) is Maine’s largest airport.

There is a tremendous spiritual need in Portland. Old Time Mainers are often hard workers accustomed to harsh winters and the realities of life but are ignorant of the Gospel.

The younger generations who have flocked to Portland looking for good jobs and social life have caused a resurgence in some parts of the city, yet their lives are cold and empty without God.

Portland needs a man of God with a pioneer spirit and great faith. One who will faithfully take the Gospel to all who will hear. The field is white unto harvest.
