God has been busy here in Waterville, Maine. Since we arrived in April, we have seen over 70 souls come to Christ and have added eight people to the church.
How wonderful our God is!
We started Heritage Baptist Church on June 18. The people in this city are incredibly open to the Gospel. There have only been a handful of people who have been rude in rejecting our invitations to church. Praise God for His goodness! Some of the people we have been able to reach are now very faithful church members. Several people have been to every service since we first invited them. We’ve even had a few members come door-knocking with us to reach others in the area.
The growth of new Christians is so exciting!
Last week before our Wednesday service, one of our church ladies that we were able to reach within the first few weeks of being here saw a man walking down the street outside the church. She ran outside to invite him to church, and we were thrilled when he said he would join us. That man has faithfully attended every service since then. He will become a member of our church in the next few weeks. Additionally, we had a gentleman come as a result of our ladies soul-winning time last Sunday. God certainly has been blessing in the growth of our church!
We have decided to dedicate the month of September as “Bring a Friend” month.
Please pray for us that we will be able to reach many people this month!
In addition, we are asking for prayer for several of our church members. As we know, Satan hates it when he loses an eternal soul to salvation and does everything he can to hinder new Christians from going to church and growing in the Lord. Please pray that they will continue to be faithful to the Lord.
God has been so good to us. We met in our house each week when we started the church. Since then, God has allowed us to find the perfect place to meet. The church has moved from our home into a beautiful storefront in a prominent location with a lot of foot traffic.
We are amazed that God has been so good to our young church already! We are thrilled about what God has in store for the future of Heritage Baptist Church.
