God moved at the Spring Save New England Conference!

Rejoice with us over the highlights of the conference.

“And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.” – Acts 14:27

In this passage of Scripture, Paul and Barnabas returned from a missionary journey and declared the good things that God had done. It is a good idea to rehearse the goodness of God to churches so that those who were not present during God’s blessings can praise the Lord for His work.

Allow me to share God’s blessings from our recent conference so you can rejoice with us and pray for the spiritual need in New England.

SAVE NEW ENGLAND (SNE) is an independent Baptist ministry that promotes Revival, Soul Winning, and Church Planting helping churches fulfill the Great Commission.

Conference

SNE conducts two main conferences per year. One meeting in the Spring in Northern New England and another in the Fall in Southern New England. (Also, our representatives are available for Mission Conferences, Revivals, Soul Winning Conferences, Ministry Training, and more. Contact us at SaveNewEngland.org if you are interested.)

Last week, we completed our 3rd annual Spring Conference to the Glory of God. The SNE conferences are known for powerful Bible preaching, practical ministry teaching, and encouraging Christian fellowship. Our Spring 2019 conference checked all of these boxes and more!

Thirty-five preachers from 8 states attended the conference.

A couple from a distant state attended the conference as they are praying about starting a church in New England. Also, a few new pastors from Vermont that are involved in church restarts were present.

Church planters gave testimonies of God’s work and their burden to reach the area to which God has called them. The nightly offerings were divided between five church planters.

We praise the Lord for every Bible-preaching soul winning pastor in New England. We are praying for our Lord to raise up more men of God to help us.

Granite State Baptist Church in Concord, NH, and Pastor Peter Chamberland hosted the conference. They provided hotel rooms for preachers, furnished great refreshments, cooked a tasty lunch, and offered the use of their beautiful building. They did a tremendous job!

The preaching was powerful.

Our guest speaker was Pastor Mike Norris from Murfreesboro, TN. He preached Monday night from Nehemiah chapter 4 on “Heart For The Battle.” On Tuesday night, he preached a message called “Help Us” from the book of Acts. I preached Monday evening on “A Spirit-filled Vision From God.” Altars were full each night.

The Tuesday ministry training sessions were practical and helpful. Pastor Peter Chamberland taught us how to have a Biblical Philosophy of Missions. Pastor Chris Baker instructed us about Inter-pastoral Relations that honor the Lord. I explained how to use Biblical Standards of Holiness to grow people spiritually. Bro. Norris gave us a simple way to manage our time effectively for the Lord.

After a fantastic lunch provided by GSBC, we had afternoon sessions including “Why We Are Not Reaching The Big Cities” and “How to Build a Relationship with Funeral Homes in your Community.” (Funerals are an untapped opportunity to win souls and build relationships with people who wouldn’t usually attend your church.) A question and answer service allowed us to discuss vital ministry topics.

We discussed the exciting future of Save New England too.

As God continues to bless, we are entering Phase II of our ministry plan. Our magazine is expanding as we build relationships with preachers, Bible colleges, and mission agencies. We are increasing our ability to work with churches and church planters helping them accomplish God’s Will. Stay tuned. There are exciting times ahead!

We thank the Lord for His blessings on our Spring SNE Conference. We praise God for everyone who attended. There would be no conference without you!

Our Fall Conference is scheduled on October 21-22 at Curtis Corner Baptist Church in Wakefield, RI. Pastor Charlie Clark, Jr. from Berlin, NJ is our guest speaker.
