The thirty-six day Reach Rhode Island 2018 Campaign began with a God- blessed Fall Save New England Meeting at the Curtis Corner Baptist Church and concluded with a very special Lord’s Day Evening Service at the Knotty Oak Baptist Church.

For three and a half hours the Knotty Oak Baptist Church and their guests ate, sang, praised, and prayed together. Bro. Dwight Smith exhorted the Church to continue what had begun. The night concluded with a God-blessed sendoff as those in attendance encircled the Smith and Lancaster families with a season of prayer. We will continue unceasingly to reach our Jerusalem and Judea with the Gospel. Our Church will also build upon the work of the Campaign.

We thankfully pause to report the immediate results of the Gospel Meetings:

Ninety-seven (97) souls were saved, with good follow up information provided. Three have been baptized, with more scheduled. Over fifty solid prospects were gathered for visitation. Approximately 9,000 door hangers were hung. Several thousand doors were knocked on. Many soul-winning conversations took place. 13,000 invitation cards (with the Gospel) were distributed. Over 100 Gospel sermons were delivered throughout the Campaign.

Reach

The Knotty Oak Baptist Church was greatly strengthened with new commitments to attend Prayer Meeting and Evening Services, and new converts and visitors to work with. The Providence and Portsmouth church plants have each gained new members and prospects, and have had miraculous prayers answered.

In addition, a total of 32 New England preachers helped in the Gospel Meetings, and God blessed us with a truly memorable New England Baptist Fellowship Meeting. May it all “redound to the glory of God!”

I thank God for Evangelist Dwight Smith, Evangelist Josh Lancaster, and their respective families. They are true examples of what God’s people should be. I will treasure the experiences and memories of our first Reach Rhode Island Campaign. We are already planning for their 18-day visit in July/ August 2019, and the 10 weeks in 2020.
