If we hope to turn America back to God, we must Save New England. Its influence affects you every day even if you don’t realize it. Here are three ways you can help us plant churches in New England.

COME

God still calls men to do His work. How shall the lost hear the gospel without a preacher? They won’t. We are praying that God would send us called and consecrated men to start new churches and pastor existing churches. Some men will come ready to start a church right away while others may need some time to finish preparation. Through the Save New England ministry, God is opening up summer internships for college students and lay staff positions to allow newcomers to New England to acclimate to the culture before starting a church or taking a pastorate.

We love to connect pastors new to the area with seasoned pastors that can provide regular fellowship and advice as needed. Also, the New England Baptist Fellowship provides fundamental preaching, encouragement, and support.

We need committed Christians willing to help strengthen churches.  It can take years to develop a new believer into a strong Christian.  A new or struggling church can shave years off of a normal growth curve with a family or two that is mature in the Lord and willing to serve.  These faithful families provide an example of where the church is going and how to get there.

New England souls are white unto harvest. Would you come if God called you?

GIVE

“Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power, they were willing of themselves; Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.”

2 Corinthians 8:1-4

It takes money to accomplish God’s work in this world. Every Christian should tithe to their local church to support its work and ministry. That is God’s plan. Also, every child of God should give offerings. Missionary and Church Planting giving must come from the pews of existing churches.

It is God’s plan that those who have been saved sacrifice to get the Gospel to those who are lost. Too many American Christians are caught up in various degrees of materialism taking more thought of how they can upgrade their possessions than how they can reach the world for Christ.

We are quick to complain about godless cities, but are we willing to sacrifice so these costly areas can be evangelized?

Christians must sacrifice financially to plant churches. Everything is more expensive in New England. It requires more money to start a church here than in many parts of America. Yet, we can’t let the region go to hell because of the cost? God forbid. Cities like Boston and New York are fortresses of godlessness. We are quick to complain about them, but are we willing to sacrifice so these costly areas can be evangelized? The most influential cities and towns in America are also the most expensive to live in and serve the Lord. We must count the cost and invest large amounts of money in starting churches in them.

I recommend that part of your missions budget as a church or family be dedicated to church planting. With God’s blessing, a soulwinning preacher who has full-time support can often get a church plant to become self-supporting in 3-5 years. Then you can take that designated money and support a new church planter.

We need to start hundreds of churches in New England. I believe it can be done in our lifetime if the Lord tarries His coming and if God provides us with the men and the money. We are on the ground. We know how to apply funds for the best return on investment. We could start more churches next week if the funds were in place!  Will you give?

PRAY

“Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:”

2 Thessalonians 3:1

God is doing a great work in New England. Souls are being saved weekly. Christ is building His churches. Church Planters are on deputation. New Churches are in their infancy. Old Churches are being restarted. Struggling Churches are seeing the embers of revival glow. Thriving Churches are growing. There is a great spirit of camaraderie among soul-winning, separated, independent Baptist Churches in New England. God is at work.

We are on the front lines of spiritual warfare taking back territory for God. Satan is not happy about it. Preachers and their families are under attack. Churches are fighting battles. Christians are pressured. The devil is fighting us tooth and nail, but greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world! We need God’s power, provision, and protection.

Pray for conviction of the lost, consecration of the saints, and continuation of God’s work. Pray for churches to be started, congregations to be strengthened, and laborers to be sent. We need God’s Almighty power poured upon us in fresh and tangible ways. We are attempting the impossible… Will you pray for us?

Ask God what He would have you do then follow through no matter the cost!

You will notice that I started this post with the most sacrificial choice of the three listed here.  That was on purpose.  We will not change the world with good intentions and kind words.  We must sacrifice to spread the good news of the Gospel.  Be serious about your role in the Great Commission.  Ask God what He would have you do then follow through no matter the cost!

Over 15,000,000 souls live in New England. Each one of them has an eternal soul that will spend eternity in Heaven or Hell. Most of them have never heard a clear presentation of the Gospel, had a soul winner knock on their door, or read a Gospel tract. Someone must care! Someone must go! Someone must give! Someone must pray! We are striving to Save New England. Will you help us?
